The Motherland Cycling Club will hold a ride from Shell, 18725 University Blvd to the end of McKeever and back. There will be one route with lengths of 27 miles. Depending on who shows up, there will be the following groups:

A. Habanero Group which will reach an average of +22mph

B. Jalapeno Group which will reach an average of +20 mph

C. Bell Pepper Group everybody else!

There's a quick stop at Bean here Coffee to catch your breath and a take picture at McKeever

Start Time: 06:30am. Please arrive early enough so that you can be present for a brief safety meeting prior to the ride.

General Safety Rules (More specifics and details at the ride):

1. Red tail lights required at all times, night or day.

2. If you see a hazard, say it out loud. Point if you can.

3. Call out all braking maneuvers and direction changes. Use hand signals if you can.

4. Absolutely no headphones, in-the-ear buds or excessively loud speakers. Rider communication is a safety issue.

5. No using aero (TT) bars at any time while in a pace line.

6. Never run a red light or blow through a stop sign. If multiple lights are necessary, so be it. Wait for the rest of the group once through the intersection.
